Copper is classified as one of the "Navaratnas" (nine gems) in Ayurveda and is believed to possess various health benefits when used appropriately. In Ayurveda, wearing copper bracelets and rings is believed to offer certain health benefits, primarily through the principle of metal therapy or "Rasa Shastra." Copper is thought to have properties that can help balance the body's energies and promote well-being when worn as jewelry. Ayurvedic practitioners suggest that using copper vessels for storing water or drinking water from copper vessels can help maintain overall health and well-being. This practice is known as "Tamra Jal" or "Tamra Ushnodaka" in Ayurveda. It is believed that storing water in copper vessels overnight and drinking it in the morning may aid digestion, promote detoxification, support healthy skin, and balance the doshas.
